You are invited to join us for a book study of The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection, a timeless spiritual classic that encourages us to discover and practice the presence of God in the midst of our everyday lives.
We will be using a new translation written in everyday English, published in 2026 by Ascension Press (First Edition). Please be sure to purchase this specific edition so that everyone in the group will be working from the same text.
The paperback is available through Amazon for $15.00. It is not currently available as an ebook.
If you have not purchased your own copy, we will be placing a group order the day after our first meeting on October 20.
Each meeting will last approximately 1½ hours. The same session will be offered twice each meeting day—once in the morning and again in the evening—so you can choose the time that works best for you.
All meetings will be held in the church building.
There is no fee to participate in the book study. The only cost is the $15.00 paperback book if you need a copy.
Come discover with us how Brother Lawrence's simple but profound approach to prayer can help us grow in awareness of God's presence—not only during formal prayer, but throughout the ordinary moments of everyday life.
